Hanviet Foundation was launched with the approval of the two governments of both Korea and Vietnam. It was established
with a USD 3.2 million fund mostly composed of private funds donated by Chairman Ly Sang Jun of the Golden Bridge Finance Group,
as well as one of the offsprings of Vietnamese Ly Dynasty's Prince 'Ly Long Tuong' who emigrated to Korea 780 years ago. Mr. Ly created
this fund to initiate its contributions to society in a global framework of socially responsible investments that has been a core value of
Golden Bridge since its inception.
Hanviet Foundation, in line with the effort of the two governments which are seeking to establish a ¡°Comprehensive
partnership in the 21st century¡±, acts as a bridge which creates spiritual ties through contributing to exchange and cooperation
between the two peoples in the areas of education, society, economics, culture and academia. |
|
Hanviet Foundation supports Vietnamese students with various scholarships in their studies and pays keen interest
to helping under-privileged Vietnamese people living in Vietnam and Korea. The foundation is also expanding its sponsorship
activities to foster an environment for Vietnamese people¡¯s settlement in Korean society.
